The objective of the proposed collaboration is to analyse potential exemptions from balancing service cost payments for energy-intensive consumers in the Spanish electricity sector, in light of the State Aid Framework accompanying the Clean Industrial Deal.
Building on the results of the previous project, “Allocation and Settlement of Balancing Service Costs in Spain”, particularly regarding cost allocation by type of balancing service, this collaboration determine the allocation of incremental and residual costs, as well as the applicable exemption for energy-intensive industries.
